Empower You Counselling Services. I offer counselling in a safe, impartial space to help you explore your issues or fears. I believe counselling is about working together in an honest, non-judgmental and supportive relationship at a pace that you decide.
There are many reasons why you may be seeking counselling at ths time and I am here to help support you through this process. My services include counselling in the following areas:
- Depression, loss of enjoyment
- Sexuality issues
- Low confidence, self esteem
- Stress and Anger
- Home, identity and cultural differences
I am here to help you find focus and solutions to your problems.
We will set up an initial time/date to meet and assess each another to see how or even if we would like to continue and there is no further obligation at this stage. It is simply an opportunity for us to get to know each another and for you to begin to talk about what brings you to counselling. Our sessions are 50 minutes long and we may agree to work for short or long periods of time depending on how you feel things are going, we also work with pre-arranged fixed numbers of sessions. Please be assured that my work is confidential and I adhere to the BACP Code of Ethics.
Meet the Counsellor - Lizzie Pearson
My role as a counsellor isnt to give advice or choose a particular direction for you, its to listen, be alongside you and together we can consider ways of finding your own solutions. The sessions will be confidential and focused on your needs. I believe that cousnelling is about a safe place for you to explore and express your issues, concerns and fears whether these are past or present.
I know the value of listening, without judging or needing a certain outcome and if we choose to work together I will help you to explore and clarify whatever is happening in your life.
The counselling I offer, Person Centred Counselling, is a supportive, non-directive form of therapy where you are given the space and safety to share your concerns.
Qualified with a Diploma in the Theory & Practice of Person Centred Counselling, I have a wealth of experience in helping people understand their problems and concerns and assisting them to achieve their personal goals.
As part of my continued professional development I regularly attend workshops for counsellors, I am a member of the BACP and I am committed to working in accordance with the principles set out in thier Ethical Framework for Good Practice. I am also supported by a BACP registered supervisor, who I see on a regular basis to confidentially discuss my cousnelling work.
